What we collect
If you subscribe to the nightly email: your email address and a US zip code. That's it — the zip code tells us where to check the weather and which timezone to use for the 8pm send; nothing else is asked for or stored.
Why
Solely to send the nightly forecast email you signed up for, once a day, at 8pm in your zip code's local time.
Who else sees it
We don't sell or share your data. Delivering the email requires Amazon SES (AWS's email service); looking up your forecast requires sending your zip code — not your email — to the National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) and to a zip-to-coordinates lookup (Zippopotam.us). Neither sees your email address.
Tracking
None. No analytics, no cookies, no third-party trackers on this site or in the emails.
Your control
Every nightly email has an unsubscribe link that removes you immediately and permanently. Subscribing requires confirming your email address first, so nobody can sign up an address that isn't theirs.
