About
What this is
A weather site that tells you what’s actually going to happen, in one paragraph, and stops. No “feels like a furnace,” no ten competing widgets, no ads, no account. Enter a zip code and read the forecast the way you’d want a knowledgeable friend to tell it to you.
The forecaster’s own words
Every National Weather Service office writes a forecast discussion each day — the actual meteorologist explaining what they’re watching and why, in their own words. It’s normally buried in jargon nobody outside the field reads. Paper WX pulls out their key messages and shows them to you as written — no AI paraphrase, no rewriting, just the forecaster’s own words.
Where the data comes from
The National Weather Service — the same government data every weather app is ultimately built on. Paper WX doesn’t forecast anything itself; it fetches NWS’s hourly forecast and any active watches or warnings for your zip code, and renders them plainly. Severe weather gets the same calm, typographic treatment as everything else on the site — the words carry the seriousness, not flashing banners.
